Dear Friends,

These words of the fourteenth century poet Hafiz mirror the impact of Catholic education – light is poured out upon those who are in darkness. You have been a part of the light of Vision of Hope – touching the lives of thousands of children. You have touched these precious lives, as surely as have all of our Sisters and teachers. You are what’s right with OUR world!

Without your generous involvement,Vision of Hope would not be the bearer of light – knowledge – goodness. This program, an extension of Mother Pia’s vision, is at the core of our Dominican mission. It is an achievement we have all enkindled together.

“I lift my heart to God And grace is poured.”

We speak for so many hearts that are full of gratitude, love, and – yes – God’s grace. Every year we rely on your goodness as you join us in educating our underserved children in the inner city. Each day the beautiful faces of God’s children, our radiant lights in this sometimes dark world, bring a promise of hope to their communities. Together let us celebrate the grace that is ours: the ability to make a difference in our world – one child at a time. Know that every math problem solved, every new word learned, every musical note sung, is another victory.

This year we are blessed to triple the disbursements from the Endowment, helping each of the eight schools with tuition assistance awards of $30,000. While this is a great beginning, the challenge of meeting the needs of our families and schools multiplies each year. We thank God

and you for the precious, glowing smiles we see every day and pray that you will continue this legacy of love with your annual gift. This will truly be another reason for celebrating what’s right with OUR world.
